Nothing is better than bikes and public transportation. Head down the Jones Falls trail on Sundays and ride the streetcars. One more great place to visit on the JFT: The Baltimore Streetcar Museum.

A-freakin-men. The Streetcar Museum is one of the coolest danged places in Baltimore City, IMO. Last year, with worked with them on a walking tour we did of Central Baltimore and then again in April with UB and our Community Service Day. UB folks got some sweet rides on a gorgeous April day, and the volunteers are some of the nicest guys around. We should all go down one day together and then get some pizza or something.

That’d be cool. One of the volunteers down there rides a trike in every Sunday. When I was taking pictures he came over to me and made a comment on my fenders. We ended up talking about biking and streetcars for like a half an hour. Behold, the power of fenders.

Is that the guy with the trike that has motorcycle mirrors? That guy kept me company once on the trail when I was repairing a flat.

Awesome! I just got a message from my pal at the museum today — fortuitous! Maybe we can ride down there this summer or spring and take some streetcar rides. After, you know, the births of our children this spring.
